1. Overview

The 16th National Congress of the Communist Party proposed that China's industry should follow a new type of industrialization path driven by informatization, promoting industrialization through informatization, with high technological content, good economic benefits, low resource consumption, minimal environmental pollution, and full utilization of human resources. We cannot follow the traditional industrialization path taken by developed countries, which sacrifices excessive resource consumption and large-scale ecological destruction for the sake of productivity development. Moreover, we should attach great importance to the significant role of technological progress, using high-tech and advanced practical technologies to improve traditional industries, enhance economic efficiency, save and rationally utilize resources, protect the ecological environment, and pursue a sustainable industrialization path of circular economy.

Currently, 60% of the walls in our country use clay bricks, with 120,000 brick and tile enterprises producing over 520 billion solid bricks annually, equivalent to the destruction of 1.2 million acres of arable land, and the direct and indirect energy consumption accounting for more than 15% of the national total energy consumption. At the same time, the production of solid bricks causes severe pollution, with CO emissions reaching 170 million tons annually.₂In response, the National Building Materials Bureau, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Land and Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Office of Wall Material Innovation and Building Energy Conservation jointly issued a notice: the use of clay bricks is prohibited in 170 large and medium-sized cities across the country, and other cities are encouraged to switch to alternative materials, actively promoting the innovation and development of new wall materials. In April 2005, the Ministry of Construction successively issued the "Notice on Strictly Implementing Energy Conservation Design Standards for New Residential Buildings" and the "Energy Conservation Design Standards for Public Construction" which specified various indicators for building energy conservation. To implement these standards, the review of construction energy conservation has been strengthened, and a notice was issued stating that starting from May 1, 2005, the "Energy Conservation Design Standards for Residential Buildings in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Areas" must be strictly enforced, reiterating the penalties for violations of building energy conservation regulations.

On December 22, 2005, a national meeting of wall reform directors was held in Beijing. At the meeting, a notice jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Land and Resources, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ministry of Agriculture was distributed, announcing the list of the second batch of cities where the use of solid clay bricks is prohibited by the end of 2008, which includes 256 cities. This is an important measure for the country to continue promoting new wall materials following the first batch of 170 cities that were prohibited from using solid clay bricks by the end of June 2003.

This machine adopts a dual-drive roller extrusion process, completing the entire production process of the product from slurry application, main material, fabric laying, compounding, to re-pressing in one go.
